this is the best thing.
WELP GUESS THIS IS AS CLOSE AS I’LL GET. LOL.
Once upon a time I had a black and white architecture photography assignment
Fallout Boy. 2003. Metro. Chicago, IL
So I was asked yesterday why it’s taken me so long to release these videos and truthfully, it’s just been pure laziness. Truth be told, I got a handful of Best Buy gift cards for my birthday and couldn’t find anything to buy so I decided to finally pick up a VHS conversion program. I used to be the guy who filmed hundreds of shows in the 90s and early 2000s. I sold the collection but decided to keep the hi-8 tapes and the other day at my mom’s house I went through my old collection of stuff that doesn’t fit in my apartment. I was actually looking for the first condom I ever used (yes, I saved that shit because I’m a fucking weirdo) and I came across the shoebox of videos.
There are hundreds of bands on these tapes and I figured there are people out there that would appreciate what I had just lying around in a box. I honestly didn’t expect the influx of strangers but I more than welcome it. People suggested that I should sell the rest of the shows that I have but it’s not about that. It’s about sharing something that people have such a strong connection with. I added that I didn’t want to share the rest because I wanted to keep a little something for myself. Something that I could look back on that was all mine. Just my memory of a fan and a friend who stood behind the camera.
Oh my gosh, what I would give to have been in that crowd. Alas, at the time I was 12 and had no idea who Fall Out Boy were. Cannot believe this is nearly 10 years old. I can still remember when I first “discovered” them and borrowing Take This To Your Grave from my sister and then purchasing the rest of the CDs as they came out.
i haven’t been on tumblr in forever and i’m going through my dashboard and i don’t know who anyone is anymore. this is very weird.
3D Phillip Phillips!
not my photo (obviously) just my edit.
(( it really works! if you’ve got some 3D glasses lying around, put ‘em on and check it out! ))
Brian and I covered Hall & Oates “You Make My Dreams Come True” the other night at an intimate acoustic show in Dekalb, Illinois. Quite possibly my favorite cover we’ve ever done, hope you guys enjoy!
That moment when Stephen shares your video <3<3<3
- and how all the kids that got on that show were fucking dumbasses
- like seriously
- the show came on every other fucking day
- there are only three pieces of the silver monkey statue
- THE PIECES ARE THE SAME EVERY TIME
- AND YET
- every time some little shit gets to the end it’s…
this scene and the dancing lobster everywhere.
four for you Dan Schneider.
I don’t watch Jane by Design for the witty writing or the juicy teen drama; I watch it for Nick Roux, that boy is hot as sin.
